The date used to determine a players age group is December 31.

For Spring seasons, we use the players age as of the previous December (Spring 2021 would be based on age as of December 31, 2020). 

For Fall seasons, we use the players age as of the upcoming December (Fall 2021 would be based on the players age as of December 31, 2021).
